Use EvantoDesk On Your Own Domain
When you sign up to EvantoDesk we assign you your own EvantoDesk url e.g. mycompany.evantodesk.com however
EvantoDesk can be used on your own domain (website). For example if you have a website called mycompany.com, you could host evantodesk at support.mycompany.com. This is really easy to do we promise!
Before you do this however
, you will need to consider whether or not you require a secure SSL connection for your EvantoDesk website. An SSL connection encrypts all of the data sent to and from EvantoDesk. . When accessing EvantoDesk via mycompany.evantodesk.com the connection will always be secure.
If you do want to use EvantoDesk on your own domain then follow the instructions below. Please note that even if you do set up a custom domain, EvantoDesk will continue to work on your mycompany.evantodesk.com domain as well.
Sign in to your domain hosting provider website (e.g. GoDaddy or 123-reg etc). Go to the DNS settings section.
Add a new record in the DNS settings as follows:
Name: support (if you want your domain to be support.mycompany.com but it can be anything you like)
Value: your EvantoDesk domain e.g. mycompany.evantodesk.com
TTL: leave at its default value or, if empty, add 300.
In EvantoDesk, go to Admin > Rebrand and change the Desk url setting to your custom domain e.g. support.mycompany.com and click the save button. Screenshot of this below:
